Bringing the Mobile Digital Lab to Monaghan: Inspiring the Next Generation of Innovators
On 26th February 2026, the MiniDigiHub team brought the Mobile Digital Lab (MDL) to the Student Enterprise Event at the Hillgrove Hotel in Monaghan, creating an exciting immersive experience for students from schools across the county.
Throughout the day, students had the opportunity to step inside the MDL and explore Virtual Reality technology first-hand. A highlight for many was experiencing the Explore The Space Shuttle app, where students were transported into an interactive space environment — exploring the shuttle, learning about its systems and experiencing what life in orbit feels like. The energy, curiosity and enthusiasm shown by the students made the event truly memorable.
Events like this demonstrate the power of immersive technology to spark imagination, support STEM engagement, and encourage entrepreneurial thinking. By bringing cutting-edge tools directly to young people, we help make innovation tangible, accessible and inspiring.
